You can actually go kitesurfing pretty much anywhere in and around Heiligenhafen – except, of course, in the swimming areas. The official kitesurfing beach is right in front of the ‘Bretterbude’: to the left of the jetty is the swimming area, and to the right there’s loads of space to let off steam!

The inland lake is only open to sailors and SUPs. To the west, beyond the swimming area, is a brilliant spot for kitesurfing. When the wind is strong, there are some proper Baltic Sea waves there! Feel free to pop into the Planke to ask where the best spot is for the day.
