How do I reach my
destination?
Always a popular question, to which we unfortunately don't have the ultimate answer. However, we will describe how to get to the Bretterbude here:
The Bretterbude in Heiligenhafen is located approx. 120 km from Hamburg and approx. 60 km from Lübeck on the Schleswig-Holstein mainland - and opposite the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn, which itself is only 12 km away.
By car:
Coming from the south, take the A1 motorway from Hamburg in the direction of Puttgarden. The motorway will take you directly to Heiligenhafen. Coming from the east/southeast, take the A20 motorway, join the A1 just before Lübeck and then drive in the direction of Puttgarden. Now take the Heiligenhafen Mitte exit and drive straight ahead on Bergstraße until you reach the harbour. Once here, just follow the signs to Steinwarder and you've made it!
By public transport:
Take the train to Oldenburg (in Holstein) and from there take bus 5804 or 5811 to Wilhelmsplatz. Then you have a 10-minute walk in the fresh Baltic Sea air.
